Recession has not spelt all gloom for McDonalds- the company has just announced their first quarter results and they sound encouraging. A 4% increase in sales and the forecast for April, promising. The company attributes their increased sales performance-despite the world-wide slump- to their fair pricing, seen as good value for money plus their multi-locations. The graph for their US and global scales show a healthy upward curve, though revenue did take a turn to the south. McDonalds ascribes this to the strengthening dollar. The company though remains optimistic. Their pricing policy of going easy on the pocket and their very many convenient outlets will continue to buy them customer loyalty.
